This, in turn, has motivated the creation of spaces and projects that seek to alleviate the situations experienced by migrant girls, boys and adolescents, as is the case of the "Specialized care model for children and adolescents in situations of mobility" designed by the Elías Landsmanas Dymensztejn – Anáhuac Research Chair in unaccompanied migrant children.
The pilot project, "Specialized care model for children and adolescents in mobility situations", of the Chair is the result of two years of research in which information related to the main needs of the population of girls, boys and unaccompanied migrant adolescents in Mexico.
Since the main objective of this initiative is to find a way to help this vulnerable group, it was detected that one of the most important needs is the lack of a specialized multidisciplinary team that can optimally, safely and respectfully care for minors.

An initiative for the migrant population
To test this initiative, during the three months that the pilot project lasts, two multidisciplinary teams will operate at the Casa Migrante Arcángel Rafael of the Scalabrini Foundation in Iztapalapa, CDMX, and at Casa Betania in Salto del Agua, Chiapas, respectively. In the first, a lawyer, a social worker, a psychologist and a nurse work, while in the second a lawyer and a nurse provide their services. Therefore, the residents of this house will be able to receive care in four areas:
Social work: Identifies and prioritizes needs, channels to other areas, can accompany health centers and provide translation.
Nursing: 24/7 physical health care for people who are sick after strenuous tours.

Psychology: Channeling emotions, identifying mental health problems such as post-traumatic stress, sleep problems and anxiety
